A tender and clever film, it focuses on the very thing that cinema (and society as a whole) neglects: the loneliness of senior citizens, which is still very much alive. The film also plays with the prohibitions and hypocrisy that can accompany some of them in everyday life (drinking alcohol, wearing a hijab on screen all the time, etc.). The actress and lead actor seem to have a field day. Funny, alert, rather fine and well-seen, the look may recall, for example, that of a Ken Loach on form (and in comedy mode).
