Václav Kadrnka, portrait of a filmmaker

The Travelling festival this year strove to honor Czech cinema through the prism of Prague. It included among its guests the filmmaker Václav Kadrnka, who has been much noticed in festivals, and who offers a very pared down, even radically pared down cinema.

We had the chance to talk with him for a long time, and to be able to go back over each of his achievements and thus be able to draw up a portrait of the filmmaker. Jean-Gaspard Páleníček, who has enlightened the Rennes public throughout this week on many nuggets of Czech cinema, is kind enough to play the interpreters.
